Deep Work Supporting Session
DWSS - 3 days of focused work
The problem with online work
As much as I love my lifestyle and would not change it for an office job, there are some challenges to it.
Not everybody likes to work alone all the time, and going to public spaces or co-working offices are not always the solution, specially if you really need to focus on something and may need some momentary support. (moral or technical)
Then you have the daily grind (yes, similar to 9-5 but remote) which prevents you from pulling out that side project you have been planning.
Consider all of this and think on a 3 days non stop (we do sleep of course) work marathon with amazing buddies doing exactly the same.
Startup weekend for nomads!!!
The solution: DWSS
What is Deep Work Supportive Session?
It’s a 3 days event of focus work in a group supportive mode. Everyone has his own project and work to do, and will focus on that for the length of the 3 days session.
Is this for me?
If I can commit for most of the three days
If I have a side project that the daily grind does not allow me to start
If I’m at an important hustle moment of my work and need a boost
If I struggle to get shit done and need some support
Is this NOT FOR me?
If I just want to have a different workplace from the other days
If I am a new digital entrepreneur, because wasting everyone else’s time, there are other type of events
If I can’t commit for the full session (or at least most of it)
What happens on a DWSS
How does it work?
We meet at 10am on Friday with an important business goal in mind.
By Sunday 3pm you will have it finished or at least gone far enough to make it worth to spend 3 days in the same room with a bunch of hard working people. 🙂
How to make it successful?
Think this as a team work and not just your individual project
Respect the timings and structure
Although this is a supportive session don’t abuse, respect the boundaries of others
Commit and work hard!
